The Mahatma Hansraj Pawan Jayanti, Samarpan Diwas 2025 celebration was organized with great reverence and enthusiasm at Sujanpur by the Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi Sabha and DAV College Managing Committee (DAV CMC), New Delhi.
The function was presided over by the President of DAV CMC and Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi Sabha, Arya Ratna, Padma Shri Awardee Sh Punam Suri, who graced the occasion as the chief guest. Adding charm to the event, Mrs Mani Suri also blessed the gathering with her gracious presence.
The celebrations began with a havana, performed with traditional Vedic chanting and offerings, followed by melodious bhajans and the singing of the DAV anthem.
In his presidential address, Shri Punam Suri eloquently highlighted the 138-year-old legacy of DAV educational institutions, emphasizing the mission of DAV to spread the ideals of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati to every individual. He underscored that true education should transcend religious boundaries and reflect the core values envisioned by the founders of the DAV movement. He also lauded the achievements and contributions of DAVians in diverse fields.
The event saw the presence of senior officials and members of the DAV CMC, directors, regional directors, principals, teachers, and students from across the country. Approximately 8,000 attendees marked the occasion with their presence.
A special feature of the celebration was the release of the latest issues of Arya Jagat and the Aryan Heritage Souvenir. Sh Suri also felicitated Arya sannyasis, and Vedic scholars. Three distinguished Principals, Dr Vikramjeet Singh, Dayanand College, Hisar, Shri K S Guleria, Principal-cum-ARO, DAV Mandi, Mrs Seema Maindiratta, Principal-cum-ARO, DAV Kharghar were honoured. The meritorious students who topped the DAV Olympiads 2024-25 were also felicitated.
A captivating highlight was the theatrical enactment "Ek Deepak Jo Jalta Raha", based on the life of Mahatma Hansraj, directed by Mr. Vishal, TGT at DAV CPS Mandi. Over 1,000 students from DAV HP Zone C participated, displaying a powerful blend of dance, music, and acting that left the audience inspired.
The event was a shining tribute to the legacy of Mahatma Hansraj and a celebration of DAV's continued commitment to holistic education and cultural heritage.
