The DAV College Managing Committee hosted Hon’ble Delhi Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta on 7 April 2025 at Bharat Mandapam for the inspiring event “Sankalp se Siddhi – Naya Satra, Nayi Oorja.” Presided over by DAVCMC President Sh. Punam Suri, the event saw participation from over 3,000 principals, teachers, and students representing around 60 DAV schools across Delhi-NCR.
Dr. Nisha Peshin, Director (Academics), introduced DAV’s 140-year legacy of blending modern education with Vedic values, along with a special mention of the need to elevate Delhi’s educational status. In his welcome speech, Sh. Punam Suri praised CM Gupta’s initiatives for Delhi’s development, offering DAV’s support in key areas like Yamuna cleaning, awareness-building and education.
In her address, CM Gupta hailed DAV as a “laboratory of personality development” and applauded its role in nation-building through holistic education. She commended DAV’s reach across 23 states with over 1,000 institutions and its illustrious alumni such as Lala Lajpat Rai, Bhagat Singh, Atal Bihari Vajpayee and many more in different fields. Emphasizing Delhi Government’s commitment to education, she highlighted the 19.29% budget allocation to the sector and envisioned a collaborative path toward “Viksit Bharat 2047.”
The programme also featured an inspiring session by motivational speaker Mr. Ankur Warikoo and vibrant cultural performances by DAV alumni, making it a memorable start to the new academic session.
