DAV Centre for Academic Excellence under the able guidance of Director (Academics) Dr. Nisha Peshin organised the Capacity Building Programme for Primary Master Trainers of Science in September and October, 2023. The Resource Persons and the Programme Coordinator, Ms. Rashmi Kathuria, EO, DAVCAE conducted sessions based on objectives aligned to the needs of different cluster schools and implementing New Education Policy 2020. 144 Primary Science Master Trainers from all over India were trained in three groups. The 3-days programme focussed on empowering the Master Trainers with the following:

• Catering the needs of classrooms as per the NCF

• Developing child centric collaborative classrooms

• Framing and Mapping the learning outcomes as per DAV textbooks

• Experiential learning ideas of text to experience

• Exploring Pedagogical practices as per NEP 2020 which included pair and share, concept cartoons, questioning techniques, gamification

• Creating joyful learning at all levels

• Innovating ways to self explore science around us through A day in Science approach and Kitchen Chemistry

• Training on using DAV intellectual hub effectively

• Developing a habit of sharing, Skill of documentation and reporting a training

• Working in collaboration
