Arya Pradeshik Pratinidih Sabha has
at present its Headquarters in the building of Arya Samaj,
Mandir Marg, New Delhi. Padamshree Gyan Prakash Chopra
Ji is President of this Sabha. This Sabha has a national
character with its branches in every State of Sovereign
Democratic Indian Union. It was formally established on
26.01.1894 in Lahore (now in Pakistan) in the name &
style of Arya Pradeshik Pratinidih Sabha, Punjab, Sind
and Balochistan. It will not be out of place to mention
here that the great visionary Mahatma Hansraj had chosen
an auspicious importent day of 26th January for establishment
of this Shiromani Sabha of Arya Samaj and this day ultimately
became the day of enforcement of constitution of independent
Soverign Democratic Indian Union in 1950. After independence
in August, 1947, this Sabha migrate to Hindustan (India)
and had first established its Headquarters in Jallandhar
City. Thereafter, it was shifted to the present building
of Arya Samaj, Anarkali, Mandir Marg, New Delhi. The salient
features of its aims and objects were to coordinate the
working of Arya Samjees established in different towns
of Bharatvarsh and in other countries of the world that
are affiliated to this Sabha. This Sabha was registered
under the Societies Act of 1860 in Lahore. Following are
the main aims and objects borne out from the record :-
1. To propagate wisdom of Vedic Dharam
through Vedic literature and Ved
Pracharaks.
2. To publish Vedic literature.
3. To establish libraries in different parts of the
country and abroad.
4. To help the people in distress at the time of natural
calamities and communal
disturbances.
5. To help widows.
6. To help orphans
7. To plan and practically assemble and utilize all
resources for the development of
Arya Samajes.
8. To coordinate the teachings and propagation of Vedic
wisdom in DAV Schools and Colleges by managing the appointment
of Dharam Shikshak / Ved Pracharak with the help of
Arya Vidya Sabha of DAV College Managing Committee.
9. The Annual General Body Meeting of this Sabha is
held on the fourth Sunday of May every year. The representative
from every Arya Samaj with affiliation to this Sabha
are invited for three years and they constitute a General
House of this Sabha with voting right.
The election of the President and other
Office Bearers of this Sabha is held annually in the above
said Annual General Meeting. All functions of the Sabha
are carried-out by an Antrang Sabha which is also constituted
in this Annual General Body Meeting every year . Apart
from looking after the Ved Prachar work for general public
and educational institutions of DAV College Managing Committee,
the most important function of this Sabha is to ensure
that those Arya Samaj where from representatives are elected
for constitution of DAV College Managing Committee , should
work according to the constitution laid out by this Sabha
and according to the Vedic rules and regulations established
by Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati, the great founder of
Arya Samaj.
At present this Sabha is looking after the working of
Arya Anathalaya, Ferozepur Cantt. (Punjab) which was established
by Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati himself in 1877. Several
Arya Samaj affiliated to this Sabha have completed hundred
years of their continued performance. The founder Principal
of first DAV School and College, Lahore, respected Mahatma
Hansraj was the President of this Sabha till his last
breath and before leaving this nashvan body, handed over
the reins of service of this Sabha to the pious care of
Mahatma Anand (Mahatma Anand Swamiji). Primary members
and Life members of DAV College Trust and Management Society,
Chitra Gupta Road, New Delhi are recommended by the Arya
Samajs affiliated to Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi Sabha,
Mandir Marg, New Delhi constitute electoral committees
which are required to elect members for DAV College Managing
Committee, New Delhi after every three years. These Arya
Samajs are compulsorily affiliated to A.P.P.Sabha. Another
good number of fifteen member of A.P.P.Sabha are elected
by this Sabha for membership of DAV College Managing Committee,
New Delhi.
As such the Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi
Sabha is very closely related to DAV College Trust and
Management Society and also to DAV College Managing Committee,
New Delhi.
This Sabha is publishing a weekly magazine
in the name and style of Arya Jagat in Hindi which carries
thought provoking articles of Vedic Scholars and other
news items. All Vedic and religious activities carried-out
in educational institutions of DAV College Managing Committee
and hundreds of Arya Samajees affiliated to this Sabha
are supervised and guided by the Office Bearers of this
Sabha through a good number of Vedic Schoolars on the
panel of this Sabha and Vedic Acharyas of Dayanand Brahm
Maha Vidalaya, Hissar.
Vedic literature worth several lakhs
is distributed by this Sabha to propagate Vedic wisdom
for the universal welfare of humanity. Vedic Yajna Agnihotr
is another important universal scientific measure propagated
and performed by the guidance of this Sabha which is ;proving
most effective in removing pollution of all kinds and
makes the global atmosphere worth living Several Vedic
Scholars are working in different countries of the world
with the goodwill of this Sabha and the DAV College Managing
Committee. Hindi Rajbhasha approved by the Indian Constitution
and Sanskrit are the approved languages of Arya Samaj
and this Sabha. Vedic literature written by Maharishi
Dayanand like Satyarth Prakash (light of truth). Sanskar
Vidhi and Rig Ved Aadi Bhashya Bhoomika etc. are continuously
published by this Sabha in its Mahatma Hansraj Sahtiya
Vibhag and distributed throughout the world Ved original
books – (i) Rig Veda (ii) Yujur Veda (iii) Sam Veda
and (iv) Atharav Veda are also got published and distributed.
Ved Pratisthan is a separate section which under the guidance
of Shri Vishwa Nathji, a Vice-President of this Sabha,
is specifically looking after the publication of Vedas.
Several plots of land were procured
from Delhi Development Authority for constructing the
buildings of Arya Samaj Bhawan by the Sabha in different
parts of Delhi as detailed below:-

iii. R.K. Puram , New Delhi.
iv. UP-Block, Pitampura, Delhi
v. Kela Godam Area, Shalimar Bagh, Delhi.
