The Induction Programme for the newly appointed Heads of DAV Public Schools was organised by DAV Centre for Academic Excellence (DAVCAE) with an objective to prepare them to handle the new assignment, job and role efficiently.  It commenced on 3rd November 2023 and reached its culmination on 10th November 2023 in the multipurpose hall of DAVCMC. The 50 Heads of DAV Public Schools from 15 States and 01 Union Territory attended the Programme. 
 

The participants joined the Google Classroom a month ago and participated in online discussions in a synchronous manner. A one-day online session was taken on the ‘Vision and Mission of a School’ by the Director (Academics), Dr. Nisha Peshin. Then, the participants developed an online document on the vision and mission of their respective schools.


Following themes were addressed during the course of interaction:

1. Introduction to DAVCMC- an introduction of DAV History, DAVCMC, its vision, mission and goals

2. Leadership Talks- Ethical Leadership, Digital Leadership, Futuristic Leadership

3. Financial Management of DAV Public Schools- Statutory and Internal Audit

4. Administrative Norms and Procedures as laid down by DAVCMC

5. Social Security Schemes for DAV Employees

6. Code of Conduct for Employees and Legal Aspects

7. Leadership & Staff Motivation - Team building

8. Safety and Security of Schools

9. Early Childhood Education

10. Cyber Safety and School Policies

11. Curriculum, Pedagogy and Assessment

12. DAVCAE and its Initiatives

13. E-Governance- working on DAV Software

14. Academic Audit

15. DAV Curriculum, Examination and Evaluation

In order to seek the blessings of almighty, every day the programme began with the havan. The participants were guided to perform havan and know its significance. They were given the insights on Arya Samaj and its way of living. Sh. N.K. Uberoi, Vice-President DAVCMC, inaugurated the Induction Programme. During his inaugural address, he emphasised upon the desired leadership qualities and importance of teaching.
 

During the course, all the themes were taken by the Directors DAVCMC, Section Heads of different departments of DAVCMC and the faculty DAVCAE. The address of the President, Shri Punam Suri, to the participants at the valedictory ceremony energised and motivated them to perform their duties honestly and also, encouraged them to proudly carry forward the legacy of Swami Dayanand Saraswati ji.
